NGO «HUMAN RIGHTS LABORATORY»

About us
We are the Human Rights Laboratory, an organization that unites experts who defend human rights not in words but in deeds.
We work in places where the public eye rarely looks – in inpatient social protection institutions and psychiatric hospitals. These are closed spaces where people live whose voices are almost never heard. We come to hear these voices, understand needs, and protect rights.
Our team has unique experience: we have conducted over 500 monitoring visits, participated in the development of a national preventive mechanism, and influenced systemic changes in the field of social protection.
We don’t just identify problems – we solve them. Through analytics, training, and cooperation with state and international partners, we shape a society where dignity and equality are not empty words, but reality.
The NGO “Human Rights Laboratory” is an independent human rights organization that monitors the observance of human rights in social and medical institutions.
We have brought together experts who have been monitoring closed institutions for many years. We know what systemic problems exist and are working to solve them.
Our activities include:
- Monitoring and situation analysis – over 500 visits to institutions throughout Ukraine;
- Staff training – development of methodological materials, trainings and advanced training of employees;
- Research and reports – analytics that influence the formation of state policy;
- Cooperation with international partners – participation in international projects, adaptation of world experience in Ukraine.
Our goal is to make Ukraine a state where every person, regardless of life circumstances, can feel protected.
